Derek Bell MBE Awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester The Royal Agricultural University at Cirencester celebrated Convocation, the annual graduation ceremony last week. As a new University town, it was fitting that the Convocation ceremonies were held in the heart of Cirencester and the Parish Church provided the perfect backdrop.
Derek Bell MBE was one of five racing luminaries inducted into the Motor Sport Hall of Fame on Tuesday 31 May 2016 at the Royal Automobile Club's Woodcote Park country estate. This year was the first time the inductees were decided by the public and, after over 25,000 votes were placed, the new members included Sid Watkins (Formula 1), Dan Gurney (US racing), Valentino Rossi (motorcycles), Sébastien Loeb (rally) and Derek Bell (sports cars).

The inaugural Motor Sport Hall of Fame first took place in February 2010. Its eight founding members – Tazio Nuvolari, Enzo Ferrari, Juan Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, Ayrton Senna, and Michael Schumacher – were adopted, and then, for the inaugural ceremony, Mario Andretti, Jacky Ickx, Tony Brooks and Ron Dennis were inducted. Each year four more racing luminaries are inducted to the Motor Sport Magazine Hall of Fame.  
AN EVENING WITH THE LEGENDS OF LE MANS DINNER Hope for Tomorrow is celebrating the Le Mans 24 Hour Race, the most famous endurance motor race in the world, with an event at The Hurlingham Club, London SW6 3PR on Wednesday 18th May. This black tie dinner event is supported by Ford Motor Company who are celebrating their return to Le Mans 50 years after their famous 1-2-3 hat trick victory in 1966 with their Ford GT40’s.
